Think It's A Political Statement?

I'm curious, do you think there is a political agenda behind this soon to be released movie? The movie is based on the book See No Evil: The True Story of a Ground Soldier in the CIA's War Against Terrorism and it comes out November 25th. Here a synopsis:
"...Syriana, a political thriller that unfolds against the intrigue of the global oil industry. From the players brokering back-room deals in Washington to the men toiling in the oil fields of the Persian Gulf, the film's multiple storylines weave together to illuminate the human consequences of the fierce pursuit of wealth and power. As a career CIA operative begins to uncover the disturbing truth about the work he has devoted his life to, an up-and-coming oil broker faces an unimaginable family tragedy and finds redemption in his partnership with an idealistic Gulf prince. A corporate lawyer faces a moral dilemma as he finesses the questionable merger of two powerful U.S. oil companies, while across the globe, a disenfranchised Pakistani teenager falls prey to the recruiting efforts of a charismatic cleric. Each plays their small part in the vast and complex system that powers the industry, unaware of the explosive impact their lives will have upon the world."
Now let's break this down shall we...

Robert Baer: A former CIA agent whose view on the war in Iraq is quite relevent, as he believes that we are only there for the oil. Okay, he's probably pretty biased due to this view. He also wrote the book: "Sleeping with the Devil: How Washington Sold Our Soul for Saudi Crude". That pretty much tells you where he stands politically.

Then there are the two main stars:

George Clooney: Whose asinine comments have made their way into the Museum of Left Wing Lunacy. And we all know just how politically savvy he is and how much he "loves" George Bush.
"They tell us we're going to war and no one's saying 'Bullshit' loud enough. And the language! Listen to the language! 'Evil.' 'Evil'? 'Nexus of evil'? 'Evil-doer'? That's my favourite, 'evil-doer'! What's wrong with their vocabulary: couldn't they come up with 'schmuck'?"
Matt Damon: Well, we know he is a Hollyweird left-winger. What we don't know is his actual views because he can't seem to get them said in any coherent fashion, other than his intense dislike of Bush. But there is this:
"I would pay $1 million to have Kerry in the White House," the actor said at the premiere of The Bourne Supremacy in Berlin the other night. (Sept. 2000)
So, what do you think? Am I just paranoid of the Hollywood left-wingers, or are they slamming the Iraq war in general and the Bush administration in particular?
