Michael Brown sent back to DC

Seems that Michael Brown is still the director of FEMA, but in an administrative sense and will "control" from Washington, D.C. while Vice Admiral Thad Allen of the US Coast Guard has been appointed to be in charge of recovery in the Gulf Coast.

No word as to how all this came about, but I wonder if the rumors of his padded resume and the demand by Democrats to fire him are a part of why this has happened. I suppose that we shall find out soon.
